With over ten years of body piercing experience, Johjoe Morris (owner and lead piercing artist) brings modern expert piercing to Galveston Island. Her goal is to make safe piercings available to the Galveston community without compromise.

Our piercing team uses industry-leading biodegradable piercing tools, and single-use needles/tapers are utilized to assure a lack of cross-contamination. Our aseptic piercing standards are above the Texas medical standard. Biodegradable single use tools also assure more unneeded waste does not end up littered on our beaches or in our oceans.

We only carry H2Ocean Aftercare, a company with similar mission values.

Dead South Tattoo and Piercing is the only shop on Galveston Island that proudly offers exclusively implant grade titanium and/or solid gold jewelry during the piercing process. Our jewelry is also internally threaded, or threadless.

We never use surgical steel, externally threaded, filled, or unpolished jewelry. For client assurance, mill certs are available upon request.
