Dead South Tattoo and Piercing is committed to providing a safe, sterile piercing environment while staying eco-conscious and budget friendly.
With over ten years of professional body piercing experience, and numerous certifications, Johjoe Morris brings modern expert piercing to Galveston Island. Her goal is to make safe piercings available to the Galveston community without compromise. She is the only piercing artist offering implant-grade piercings and aseptic practice on Galveston Island.
Johjoe uses industry-leading biodegradable piercing tools, and single use tapers/tubes are utilized to assure a lack of cross contamination. Our aseptic piercing standards are above the Texas medical standard. Biodegradable single use tools also assure more unneeded waste does not end up littered on our beaches or in our oceans.
Dead South Tattoo and Piercing proudly utilizes an Enbio autoclave; The world's fastest class B autoclave. Using patented Swiss technology, we can sterilize from our jewelry cases to our piercing trays in just seven minutes.

Dead South Tattoo and Piercing is the only shop on Galveston Island that proudly offers exclusively implant grade titanium and/or solid gold jewelry during the piercing process. Our jewelry is also internally threaded, or threadless. We have the highest quality piercings and jewelry available at affordable prices, so safe piercings are attainable to every walk of life.
We have three jewelry cases with a plethora of implant-grade body jewelry to shop starting at only $20. You don't have to start your piercing with basic jewelry! From cute shapes to genuine stone, there's always options. Can't decide? Johjoe will curate your piercing!

We custom anodize our titanium in house for an additional $10!
Dead South Tattoo and Piercing never uses surgical steel, externally threaded, filled, or unpolished jewelry. For client assurance, mill certs and proof of sterilization are available upon request.

Essential jewelry is included in the piercing fee. This is a 2.5, 3, 4, or 5mm titanium ball.

Service Fees:
No service fee will be charged to insert jewelry purchased at Dead South, or for consultations.
A $10 fee will be charged for custom anodizing of house jewelry. (Titanium color changing.)
A $20 set-up fee will be charged for the following:
Downsizing a piercing, assessing and/or removal of a piercing not performed at Dead South, stretching a healed piercing, tapering a piercing, and sterile saline flushing.
